We had to do a menu project at school where we came up with our own imaginary themed establishment and a dessert menu to go along with it, and actually invent and bake two dishes. I decided to do a bakery/café that doubled as an arcade! The first dessert is Super Mario Bros.-inspired and called “The 1UP” - it’s a green velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and cranberry-honey sauce. The second one is called “Banana Bonanza!” and based off of Donkey Kong - there’s a chocolate puff pastry ‘barrel’ with banana-nut cream filling, toasted almond ice cream, and chocolate and pomegranate sauces.
